【 Go on the Prowl 】 The German Jagdpanther is widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best, tank destroyers of WWII, and Tamiya's 1/16 R/C assembly kit will enable fans to take command of this formidable AFV. With a total length of 605mm, this tank casts an imposing shadow and is fully-detailed as well. Housed in the sloped superstructure is the accurately reproduced L71 88mm gun, which can be moved and fired via a 4-channel transmitter. Realistic tank movement is made possible by the two gearboxes driving the caterpillar tracks, and both the gun barrel and tank react with lifelike recoil action when the main gun is fired. Furthermore, machine gun firing, main gun firing, and digitally-recorded engine sounds makes for a most exciting R/C tank experience. This all-in-one set includes 4-channel transmitter, and 7.2V battery and charger (Japan only). Add the separately available Battle System to recreate your own thrilling tank battles.
【 Awesome Mobility 】 The front-mounted gearbox contains two Type 380 motors that can operate together or individually to produce forward/reverse running and pivot turning. Metal torsion bars and suspension arms combine with the wide tracks to smoothly absorb bumps and dips in the terrain and provide high maneuverability. In addition, realistic engine sounds accompany the tank as it starts up, drives, and stops to idle. Hull-mounted main gun can be elevated, depressed, and swung to the left and right.
【 Main Gun Firing 】 LED located in the barrel replicates the muzzle flash, and realistic firing sound accompany the firing of the main gun. The main gun is also equipped with its own recoil motor, which retracts the barrel before slowly returning it to the standard position after firing. In addition, the firing action is also linked to the gearbox to accurately reproduce the hull recoil movement as well. The front-mounted machine gun also features its own firing sounds and muzzle flashes.
【 About the Jagdpanther 】 In the summer of 1942, the German army decided to use the Panther medium tank chassis as the platform for developing a new heavy tank destroyer. The result was the superb Jagdpanther, which is regarded by many historians to be one of the finest AFVs of WWII. Armed with an L71 88mm main gun and with 80mm frontal and 50mm side sloped armor plating, the Jagdpanther possessed both excellent offensive and defensive power. The 45.5 ton vehicle was equipped with a 700hp Maybach HL230P30 engine, giving it a top speed of 55km/h. This combination of firepower, protection, and mobility meant it was a dangerous adversary for Allied tanks. They got their baptism of fire in the hands of the German 654th Heavy Tank Destroyer Battalion, which deployed against Allied forces in Normandy. A large number of Jagdpanthers were also used during the Battle of the Bulge.
■The suspension features many metal parts for enhanced durability. Independent circuits for turret rotation motor and gun elevation motor are also installed. With this unit, R/C tanks can be controlled easily just like an R/C car. ■DMD Multi Function Unit MF-01 Connect to DMD control unit T-03 to provide many realistic effects such as main/machine gun firing sounds, muzzle flash and recoil movement. ■Full Operation Set 4-Channel transmitter, 7.2V Battery, and Battery Charger are all conveniently included (Japan market only).
